This presentation equips nursing home staff with the latest evidence-based practices to reduce fall risk among residents. Participants will explore root causes, high-risk populations, environmental and clinical interventions, and regulatory expectations. The session emphasizes interdisciplinary teamwork, person-centered care, and practical tools to implement fall prevention strategies effectively.

Objectives:
Participants will be able to identify common causes and risk factors for falls in nursing home residents.
Participants will be able to describe evidence-based interventions to prevent falls.
Participants will be able to apply person-centered approaches to fall risk assessment and care planning.
Participants will be able to recognize regulatory expectations related to fall prevention (CMS, QAPI).
Participants will be able to implement environmental and clinical strategies to reduce fall risk.
